We bring data analysis onto the shop floor. We make energy and production readable for manufacturing SMEs, so that decisions on cost, efficiency and environmental impact start from a measurement, not an estimate.

Maxfone is founded. Market and business model research: services evolve from Telco to IoT and Big Data.

Innovative SME

European awards
Winners of the Horizon and EDI European projects. University agreements and a new Milan office.

B20 Italy
Part of the B20 Digital Transformation task force. UniCredit agreement begins, first Code of Ethics.

IDA is born
Launch of IDA, the industrial data application. Wärtsilä and Siemens agreements on IoT sensors.

Digital sustainability
RSE best practice. SMACT and Festo agreements, the partner programme is born.

Benefit Corporation

The Maxfone case

In 2020 the Maxfone business model became a case study for the Big Data & Business Analytics Observatory of Politecnico di Milano and the University of Passau.

It is not our own story: they analysed it to understand how an SME innovates with data.

maxfone.it is hosted on infrastructure recognised by the Green Web Foundation: servers running on renewable energy, verifiable at any time.

Measuring before promising

In 2025 we started measuring the CO₂eq generated by our web services, committing to reduce the weight of the pages we publish over time.

The impact that matters is our customers'

The bigger effect isn't in our own hosting: it's in the data the application makes available to whoever uses it, to measure and cut their own impact.

Community

In 2025, Atmosphere - Martin Romeo's installation combining marble, neon light and real CO₂eq emissions data, created with Alchimie Culturali, Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa and Confindustria Veneto - toured the Veneto region.
