Battery Management System parameters no longer stay confined to the individual battery: real-time remote monitoring, alarms and analysis of performance in the field.

Manufacturers already connected to IDA

Futura Batterie is an Italian company specialising in producing and reconditioning lead-acid and lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries for logistics, materials handling and electric mobility. With experience and innovation as guiding values, it has built an advanced sensor system into its Futura Litech lithium batteries.
That drive to innovate led the company to design and test an electronic management system (BMS, Battery Management System) for its lithium solutions. The BMS embeds sensors and monitoring inside the batteries to keep track of parameters such as temperature, state of charge and other aspects critical to the product's operation and safety. Which opened a new opportunity: making the BMS data, held on each individual battery, accessible remotely and in real time, and brought together in a single tool.
The work connected the BMS-equipped batteries to an infrastructure able to collect, centralise and make readable all the information generated in the field. Through a continuous, real-time data flow, IDA overcomes that fragmentation: the parameters read by the BMS no longer stay confined to the individual battery but feed into a single structured system, able to monitor critical parameters and raise alarms, analyse field performance and calculate the energy used.
Centralised, remote, real-time monitoring cuts response times, removes the need for site visits, prevents faults and optimises battery maintenance, increasing reliability and lifespan. Having information immediately to hand supports faster, data-based decisions. Full supervision also makes it possible to analyse trends, compare performance across batteries, pinpoint areas for improvement and develop new energy strategies, turning batteries into intelligent assets that can be managed remotely.
The company aims to turn its batteries into a complete service, moving from a product-based business model to a service-oriented one. The goal is to offer customers not just batteries but support, maintenance, monitoring and advice based on the data collected, strengthening both the company's performance and the customer relationship.

"Innovation is part of our DNA, and integrating IDA with the BMS is the natural next step in our journey. It lets us offer customers a proactive, secure and immediate service, supporting continuous improvement and keeping us attentive to their needs."
