Data from an existing data lake channelled into IDA Industry: preventive maintenance on motors, CO₂ equivalent per tonne of concrete and connected industrial vehicles.

Founded in 2020, Build Trust is the digital innovation start-up in the construction sector that sets out to create an ecosystem among the parties involved in major civil works, so all of them can monitor progress and use data to speed up payments, movements and supplies.
Through digital monitoring and data management, the start-up builds management and control models for sites of extraordinary complexity. To provide tangible proof of the results, Build Trust asked Maxfone to apply its solution in the plants of a company operating nationally in the production of controlled, superior-quality building materials. Direct access to production data was the main requirement, with the benefit of bringing every dashboard into a single tool and optimising the production processes.
Starting from the idea of monitoring entire production plants rather than individual machines, Maxfone made all the data held in an existing data lake available, channelling it into IDA Industry. Concentrating the data in a single application delivers optimal performance and a deeper analysis of correlations.
IDA Industry carries out preventive maintenance through rotation and vibration sensors installed on specific motors. By monitoring the energy consumption tied to concrete production, it also estimates in real time the CO₂ equivalent emissions per tonne of material produced.
With IDA Industry there is greater control over the machines, and data and performance can be compared across the various plants around the country: it becomes clear which consume more and why, so technical support can be planned in advance. Daily journey data for concrete transport has also been integrated: connecting the industrial vehicles makes it possible to monitor the kilometres travelled and see the environmental impact of transport.
The rollout will continue with further sensors, for faster data collection and more efficient monitoring, towards an application that covers every activity. Activities that can take the company to the digitalisation and sustainability standards set out in the 5.0 transition plan, article 38, points a and b.

"The partnership we have built with companies working in digital innovation allows us to keep projects under control in real time and to monitor the various stages of work, so that the overall sustainability of the project is assured."
